With the slowdown in the global economy, many developments have scaled back on services or amenities they have to offer. But there is one that has continued to invest in their development and that is DINE, the developer of Punta Mita at the far northern point of Banderas Bay in Riviera Nayarit. Punta Mita is a large mega-development that encompasses most of the point with ocean on three sides, providing plenty of oceanfront and ocean view for homes, hotels and condominiums. It is home to two luxury hotels; the Four Seasons and the St. Regis.
During 2009, DINE completed a second 18-hole golf course by Jack Nicklaus, called Bahía Punta Mita. They also built a new tennis center with 11 courts; a combination of soft and hard courts, as well as a new fitness center. That’s a huge investment compared to other developments throughout Mexico. The facilities are only for the use of Punta Mita owners and their guests or hotel guests. DINE is obviously are very bullish about the future of Punta Mita real estate.
